Creating an Absence Without a Replacement

1. Go to EasyConnect > Create Absence.

2. In the ‘Replacement’ field, select No.

3. Enter the absence Date and Time.

If you are entering a multi-day absence for the same reason with the same start and end times, select Add Days.

4. Select the Assignment and Reason.

5. You may also fill out the following optional fields:

    • Additional Info

    • Assignment Details

    • Flags

    • Release Code

    • Lesson Plans

6. Click OK then Save to create the absence. The absence will appear in the ‘My Absences’ page under the EasyConnect tab. You will also receive a confirmation email that your absence has been successfully created.

School Board Specific Configuration: If your school board allows it, you can leave the assignment field in your absence blank. You will not be required to select an assignment before saving your absence.
