The Ontario Ministry of Education has issued an order to close all publicly funded schools effective immediately with an anticipated return date of April 5, 2020 to interrupt the spread of the COVID-19 pandemic. At this time, all hiring processes have been cancelled and will be rescheduled after the shutdown. Please monitor your email, as you may receive a rescheduled date and invitation after April 5, 2020. There will be no new job postings posted during the shutdown period. Position: Home Instruction Teacher
Work Location: York Region
Salary Rate: $37.78 per hour, no mileage
Hours of work: 4 hours per week, per student

The Home Instruction Teacher is responsible for teaching the student as well as marking and grading of completed work. The teacher is also responsible for providing the curriculum and to keep the principal informed as to the student's progress.
Teachers must meet the following criteria:
- Member in Good standing with the Ontario Teacher's College
- Access to an automobile, possession of a valid driver´s license, and willingness to drive through York Region as duties require.
